Caiman shears for cutting recyclable metals

Caiman shears are professional machines designed for cutting ferrous metals and copper cables, widely used in the scrap recovery and processing sector.

These machines are engineered to deliver high cutting power, operational safety and long-term reliability, allowing different types of material to be processed with efficient and controlled work cycles.

The material is manually inserted into the cutting area through the side safety guard door and held in place by a plate hold-down clamp, which stabilizes the workpiece during cutting to ensure accuracy and safety.

Technical features

All models in the range are equipped with a hydraulic hold-down clamp, while model 869C150 features both hydraulic and manual hold-down operation, providing greater flexibility during cutting.

The machine consists of:

  • Main body with hydraulic tank
  • Cutting shear unit
  • Hold-down clamping unit
  • Cutting area guard
  • Dead-man foot pedal control
  • Electrical control panel
  • Three-phase power supply system

Operation is via a foot pedal that activates the cutting cycle and ensures continuous operator control during processing.

The hydraulic system delivers very high cutting forces, making these machines ideal for cutting metal materials even with significant thickness.

Cutting capacity

Cutting capacity indicates the maximum size of materials the machine can cut.

For each model, four different cutting capacities are provided, referring to four types of material/section:

  • Rectangular flat bar
  • Round bar
  • Square section
  • Tube

Capacities refer to S275JR structural steel and indicate the maximum workable dimensions.
