Polyurethane sealing cover designed to cover manholes and drains, preventing environmental contamination in the event of hazardous spills.

It does not absorb liquids, but creates a temporary containment barrier, preventing chemicals or pollutants from reaching the sewer system.

Reusable solution, easy to apply and essential in environmental emergency plans.

Chemical compatibility

The cover offers resistance to:

• Inorganic acids (phosphoric acid 10%, nitric acid 10%, sulphuric acid 25%)
• Organic acids (formic acid 10%, acetic acid 10%, lactic acid 10%)
• Inorganic bases (ammonia 10%, caustic soda and potash sol. 10%)
• Hydrocarbons (petrol, toluene, kerosene, mineral oil, naphtha, jet fuel, hexane)
• Alcohols and phenols (ethyl alcohol, benzyl alcohol, glycerine, cyclohexanol, hydroquinone 10%)

Not recommended for:

• Hydrochloric acid
• Dimethylformamide (DMF)
• Some amides

In case of use with incompatible substances, the cover must be disposed of as contaminated material.

Directions for use:

1. Check that the cover is 8–10 cm larger than the manhole on each side.
2. Clean the area around the drain.
3. Remove the protective film (keep it for reuse).
4. Place the cover with the adhesive side down.
5. Press along the perimeter to ensure sealing.
6. After use, wash with water and neutral detergent.
7. Dry, reapply the protective film and store in the packaging.

Storage conditions:

• Store between -5°C and +45°C
• Do not expose to temperatures above 47°C
• Avoid high humidity
• Periodically inspect the condition of the product
• Low temperatures temporarily reduce the flexibility of the material

Important notes:

• More effective on smooth surfaces
• Can be used in emergencies even with unsuitable substances for short periods (after testing)
• Physical properties may vary over time due to UV, temperature and humidity
• If contaminated with hazardous substances, follow local disposal regulations
